Press and public affairs

Press and Public Affairs Section

The aim of Press and Public Affairs Section is to promote a better understanding of British policies and values in Ukraine. We seek to achieve it through our work with the media and by means of public diplomacy.

We provide information about Britain to the Ukrainian media, organise interviews for British officials and politicians with Ukrainian journalists, and publicise speeches made by British ministers. We make sure that our website contains up-to-date, reliable and interesting information.

We distribute printed materials about the UK, including press releases and a range of brochures and booklets covering social, political and economic affairs.

We welcome questions from media representatives, NGOs and public institutions which require information about the UK. Enquiries are welcome by letter or email. We will try to answer queries right away, but may need five or more working days to reply. Before you call or email, you may wish to check whether the information you require is already available on this website.

The members of our section are:

  • Lesya Tymoshenko, Head of Press and Public Affairs Section
  • Svetlana Vostrova, Press and Public Affairs Assistant, responsible for editing and updating the Embassy website, media liaison, publications and public enquiries
  • Iryna Bezkorovayna, Press and Public Affairs Assistant, Press and Public Affairs Assistant, responsible for administration of Public Diplomacy Projects, media liaison and public enquiries.
